Growing up in the Santa Cruz Mountains, I formed a deep appreciation for nature and organic beauty. A product of my environment, I was always independent and spent a lot of my free time exploring the woods and entertaining myself with books and artsy projects.

More than 15 years ago, I left the mountain to marry the love of my life and plant new roots in the suburbs near our hometowns and families. (Note: You can take the girl out of the mountain, but you can't take the mountain out of the girl.) Life downtown lasted a decade and then we moved to the bottom of the mountain I grew up on — best of both worlds: beauty of the redwood forest + conveniences of a small town. A couple years ago we purchased a true mountain home at 6,530 feet elevation and are enjoying mountain life very much. Exploring the Sierra Nevadas has reignited the artist within me. I'm also mother to two wonderful sons and an 80-lb beast of love who keep me very busy.

In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, hike, stand-up paddleboard, kayak, embroider, crochet, quilt, paint, volunteer at my boys' school, read, bake, discover new music, hug trees, and more. I draw inspiration from the beauty and colors of nature. My future domestic endeavors include learning to dye fabric + yarn, spin my own yarn, and further my needlework skills.
